Appl. 2012068106: l,3-Bis(methoxycarbonyl)-2-methyl-2-thiopseudourea (0.321 g) was added to a slurry of 4-bromo-3-chlorobenzene-l,2-diamine (0.2 g), 1,2-dimethoxy ethane (2 mL) and MeOH (0.5 mL). The reaction mixture was heated at 105 C for 18 hours. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, the residue was washed with ether, and filtered. The resulting solid was purified by ISCO (eluent: 0-2 % MeOH in CH2CI2) to afford the title compound as a white solid.
