Chemo-enzymatic cascade processes are invaluable due to their ability to rapidly construct high-value products from available feedstock chemicals in a one-pot relay manner. In an article, author is Chen, Hao, once mentioned the application of 10147-36-1, Name is Propane-1-sulfonyl chloride, molecular formula is C3H7ClO2S, molecular weight is 142.6045, MDL number is MFCD00007462, category is chlorides-buliding-blocks. Now introduce a scientific discovery about this category, Category: chlorides-buliding-blocks.
Imidazolium/pyridinium-based trisiloxane surfactants containing a phenyl or vinyl group in the hydrophobic siloxane chain, bis-(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilylpropyl-pyridinium chloride (Vi-Si(3)pyrCl), bis-(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilylpropyl-imidazolium chloride (Vi-Si(3)minCl), and bis(phenyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilylpropylimidazolium chloride (Ph-Si-3 minCl), were synthesized and confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) (H-1, (13) C, and Si-29 NMR), mass spectrometry, and Fourier transform infrared spectrometry. The effect of the phenyl/vinyl group on their micellization behavior was studied by surface tension, electric conductivity, dynamic light scattering, 2D nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy (NOESY) NMR, and transmission electron microscopy. Owing to the hydrophobicity of the siloxane groups and cationic head groups, the critical micelle concentration (cmc) values follow the order Ph-Si(3)minCl < Vi-Si(3)pyrCl < Vi-Si(3)minCl < Si(3)pyrCl. Ph-Si(3)minCl has a larger gamma(cmc) value, resulting from the introduction of the phenyldimethy siloxy unit (pi-pi stacking interaction). The beta values of Vi-Si(3)minCl and Ph-Si(3)minCl increase with the increase in temperature, which is attributed to the intermolecular interaction which hinders the association of Cl- with the imidazolium ring and confirmed by 2D NOESY NMR. In aqueous solutions, the investigated cationic trisiloxane surfactants can self-assemble into spherical aggregates. Do you like my blog?
