The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature, and poured into a mixed solution of ethyl acetate / a saturated aqueous solution sodium bicarbonate and then the mixture was extracted by ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (toluene : ethyl acetate = 20 :1 ? hexane : ethyl acetate = 8 : 1 ? 6 : 1) to give the title compound (385 mg) as a pale yellow powder having the following physical data. TLC: Rf 0.29 (hexane : ethyl acetate = 4 : 1); 1H-NMR (300MHz, CDCl3): delta 0.93, 1.59, 3.30, 3.79, 4.82, 5.18, 6.81, 6.94, 7.03, 8.28.
