The resulting suspension was stirred for 16 hrs then the temperature was increased to 50C for 16 hrs. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with 5% methanol in DCM. The solvent was evaporated to dryness to afford methyl 8-(l-(3-chloro-2- fluorophenylamino)ethyl)-2-morpholino-4-oxo-4H-chromene-6-carboxylate (206 mg, 82 %) as a white solid. Mass Spectrum: M+H+ 461.
