The mixture was stirred for 5 h at room temperature, and after this time, was added 1-(2-chloroethyl)azepane hydrochloride (201 mg, 1.01 mmol) suspended in 8 mL of THF with 200mul of triethylamine (TEA). The mixture was heated at 55 ºC for 18 h, allowed to cool to room temperature, quenched with water and extracted with EtOAc, and washed with water. The organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under vacuum to afford 0.22 g (65percent) of brown oil.
