The resulting mixture was refluxed for 6 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted withEtOAc. The organic extracts were dried with Na2504 and evaporated to dryness. The crude product was purified by silica gel column chromatography (EtOAc:MeOH mixtures of increasing polarity as eluent) to afford the desired product (393 mg, 67percent).
