A LiCl-mediated and palladium(II)-catalyzed oxidative cyclization of furan-ynes via dearomatizing alkoxyalkenylation of furan was reported to afford polyfunctionalized spiro-dihydrofurans with diastereospecification and high Z/E selectivity.
