Palladium(II) 2-mercaptobenzamide (o-SC6H4CONH2) complexes: Crystal structure of trans-[Pd(o-SC6H4CONH2)2(PPh3)2] was written by Al-Jibori, Subhi A.;Al-Jibori, Ghassan H. The reaction of [Hg(mbm)2] (mbm = o-SC6H4CONH2) with Na2S releases Na[mbm] which reacts with Pd(II) salts to give [Pd(mbm)2]. While its precise mol. structure is unknown, [Pd(mbm)2] reacts with two equivalent of PPh3 to afford trans-[Pd(κ1-mbm)2(PPh3)2] in which the mbm ligands bind through a sulfur atom. With dppf, a similar complex, [Pd(κ1-mbm)2(κ2-dppf)], is formulated with the mbm ligands being forced into a relative cis orientation. With dppm, a mixture of mononuclear [Pd(κ1-mbm)2(dppm)] and binuclear [Pd(κ1-mbm)2(μ-dppm)]2 results. The new complexes have been characterized by IR, 1H and 31P{1H} NMR, molar conductivity and elemental anal., and in addition, the mol. structure of trans-[Pd(κ2-mbm)2(PPh3)2] was confirmed by x-ray diffraction. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Sodium tetrachloropalladate(II) (cas: 13820-53-6COA of Formula: Cl4Na2Pd).
Sodium tetrachloropalladate(II) (cas: 13820-53-6) belongs to organic chlorides. An organic chloride is an organic compound containing at least one covalently bonded atom of chlorine. Their wide structural variety and divergent chemical properties lead to a broad range of names and applications. Aliphatic organochlorides are often alkylating agents as chlorine can act as a leaving group, which can result in cellular damage.COA of Formula: Cl4Na2Pd
