Mar’yanchik, I. V. published the artcileQuantitative determination of decamethoxine in sodium sulfapyridazine eyedrops, Quality Control of 38146-42-8, the publication is Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal (Translation of Khimiko-Farmatsevticheskii Zhurnal) (2000), 34(8), 445-447, database is CAplus.
Decamethoxine (I), or 1,10-decamethylene-bis[N-dimethyl(carbomethoxymethyl)ammonium]dichloride, was suggested for use as a conservant additive in previously developed sodium sulfapyridazine (II) eyedrops. Strict requirements posed on the quality of ophthalmol. preparation necessitate thorough quant. monitoring of all eyedrop components, including the conservant. The proposed method was used for the quant. anal. of conservant I in eyedrops II packed in dropping bottles made of poly(ethylene). The measurements were performed in the course of aging under natural storage conditions. The content of I in the preparation gradually increases on storage, in proportion to the water lost via the bottle walls. This behavior was retained over the entire observation time of 5.5 yr.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal (Translation of Khimiko-Farmatsevticheskii Zhurnal) published new progress about 38146-42-8. 38146-42-8 belongs to chlorides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Achiral Phase-Transfer Catalysts, name is N1,N10-Bis(2-((2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl)oxy)-2-oxoethyl)-N1,N1,N10,N10-tetramethyldecane-1,10-diaminium chloride, and the molecular formula is C38H74Cl2N2O4, Quality Control of 38146-42-8.
