The main feature of the structure involves the lack of the commonly represented interaction between Na and N. Instead, the Na ion is coordinated to one of the sulfonamide oxygens. The rest of the Na coordination sphere involves oxygens (from water of crystallization) and a Cl from a neighboring mol. The structure is the first for an [RSO2NCl] moiety.
