Palii, G. K. published the artcileDisinfection of surgical silk with decamethoxin, antibiotics, and their combinations, Formula: C38H74Cl2N2O4, the publication is Antibiotiki (Moscow) (1978), 23(7), 629-33, database is CAplus and MEDLINE.
Exposure of previously infected surgical silk threads to decamethoxin (I) [38146-42-8] solution (0.1%), followed by its treatment with benzylpenicillin [61-33-6], streptomycin [57-92-1] or monomycin [54597-56-7] or their combinations (105 min) provided total sterility. A 0.025% solution of I was not that effective. I or antibiotic combinations alone did not sterilize these threads completely. Exposure of the threads for 24 h with 0.1% I solution did not affect their strength.
Antibiotiki (Moscow) published new progress about 38146-42-8. 38146-42-8 belongs to chlorides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Achiral Phase-Transfer Catalysts, name is N1,N10-Bis(2-((2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl)oxy)-2-oxoethyl)-N1,N1,N10,N10-tetramethyldecane-1,10-diaminium chloride, and the molecular formula is C38H74Cl2N2O4, Formula: C38H74Cl2N2O4.
