The protective properties of biocide-impregnated cotton textile packaging were tested during storage of various bleached or dyed cotton textiles under normal conditions and under increased humidity (80-90%) and temperature (20-25°). All the biocides (Ampholan, Katamin AB, Metacid, Decamethoxine, alkyltrimethylammonium chlorides) were effective in normal conditions, but Decamethoxine, alkyltrimethylammonium chlorides failed in textile protection in the humid atm. The best results were obtained with Katamin AB and Metacid.
