H NMR (CDCI3, 400MHz) delta ppm: 2.79 (3H, s), 8.03 (1 H, s), 8.06 (1 H, d, J 1 Hz), 8.64 (1 H, m).

The resulting solution was stirred for 4 h at room temperature. The resulting mixture was concentrated under vacuum. This resulted in 7.9 g (crude) of N-(4-bromo-5-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide as a brown solid.
