McKenna, Charles E. published the artcileThe facile dealkylation of phosphonic acid dialkyl esters by bromotrimethylsilane, Application In Synthesis of 866-23-9, the publication is Tetrahedron Letters (1977), 155-8, database is CAplus.
The phosphonates RP(O)(OR1)2 [I; R = CH2:CH, PhCH2, EtO(CH2)2, (EtO)2P(O)CH2, R1 = Et; R = Bz, (MeO)2P(O)CH2, R1 = Me] were dealkylated by treatment with Me3SiBr at 25° for 1-2 h to give quant. RP(O)(OSiMe3)2. Similar dealkylation of I (R = Cl3C, R1 = Et) at 61-9° for 2.7 h gave ≥99% Cl3CP(O)(OSiMe3)2. Dealkylations with Me3SiCl required higher temperatures and gave low yields. The silyl esters may be hydrolyzed to give the parent phosphonic acids.
Tetrahedron Letters published new progress about 866-23-9. 866-23-9 belongs to chlorides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Aliphatic Chain, name is Diethyltrichloromethylphosphonate, and the molecular formula is C5H10Cl3O3P, Application In Synthesis of 866-23-9.
